Three Corners Trust needs your help

We have recently become a registered Charity operating in the South of Islington to involve local people in the development of the new 3Corners Centre in Northampton Road, EC1 – near to Spa Fields and behind Exmouth Market. This multi use Centre offers Adventure Play, Youth and Adult Learning facilities.

We are seeking to appoint committed people to serve in a voluntary capacity as trustees for Three Corners Trust for a 3 year term of office. As a group, trustees will be collectively responsible for planning and overseeing the sustainable development of the new 3Corners Centre and the effective delivery of the agreed Business Plan.

This will include ensuring that the new Centre is utilised to its maximum every day of the week, that it provides a quality service that meets the local community’s needs and expectations (through regular consultation with the local community) and that it has sufficient finances available to maintain services on a 3 yearly basis. Trustees will need to show a commitment of around 6 hours per month to prepare for and attend Board meetings. We are particularly looking for people with experience in the following areas:

• Developing and delivering services for either adult and community learning or young people or adventure play/play services
• Managing community facilities
• Managing teams
• Financial/accounting
• Legal and governance
• Community development/involvement
• The local community and the needs of the area
• Marketing and communication
• Organisational management
• Business Planning
• Fund raising and resource procurement
• Partnership working
